What is Ultimate Addon Forge?
Ultimate Addon Forge is a mod maker for Minecraft Bedrock Edition, built for children and the grown-ups who pay for their apps. You draw a creature, block, item or weapon pixel by pixel, choose how it behaves, and the Forge packages it as a real .mcaddon file ready to import into Minecraft. There is no coding, no JSON to hand-edit and nothing to install: the web studio runs in any browser and the iPad app works offline.
Draw your own mobs, weapons, armour and blocks — and send them into Minecraft. Everything you make is yours: open it in your own worlds, or send a friend a link so they can look at it in 3D, remix it and download it too.
How it works
- Pick a body. Start from a dragon, wolf, fox, cat, golem or any of the other ready-made shapes — or a block, item, weapon, tool, armour set or whole biome.
- Paint it and set the stats. Draw the texture pixel by pixel, or type a description and let the AI draft a first version for you. Then choose health, attack damage, size, and whether it is hostile, tameable, rideable, fire-proof or able to teleport.
- Send it into Minecraft. One tap builds a real .mcaddon add-on. Open it and Minecraft Bedrock installs the pack, so your creation shows up in your own worlds — and a share link lets friends open, remix and download it too.
Made for kids, priced for parents
Creating, painting and editing are free and stay free. The web studio runs in any browser with fair-use limits; registering an email address lifts them. Addon Forge Pro costs £10 a year (or the local equivalent) and unlocks unlimited AI drafting and sending creations into Minecraft. On iPad it is an auto-renewing yearly subscription billed by Apple with a 7-day free trial — and a child can email the payment link to a parent instead of entering card details.
There is no chat, no content feed and no advertising anywhere in the product. AI drafting runs behind a child-appropriate content policy with server-side moderation, and creations stay on the device until someone chooses to share one. More on that in the privacy policy, or read who makes it.

Which version of Minecraft does it work with?
Minecraft Bedrock Edition — the version on iPad, iPhone, Android, Windows, Xbox, PlayStation and Switch. Exported .mcaddon files are not compatible with Minecraft: Java Edition.
Is it free?
Creating, painting and editing are free and stay free. Everyone also gets 50 free goes — AI drafts, creations made with the helper pig, and exports to Minecraft — on the iPad app and another 50 in the web studio at /studio, where an email registration adds a few more each day. Addon Forge Pro (£10 a year, or the local equivalent) makes them unlimited. On iPad, Pro is an auto-renewing yearly subscription with a 7-day free trial, billed by Apple.
Do I need to install anything?
No. The web studio runs in a normal browser on a laptop, Chromebook or tablet. The iPad app is optional and adds 3D previews, offline editing and iCloud backup.
Is it safe for children?
Yes. There are no ads, no content feeds and no external links inside the child's experience, and no messaging between users. The helper pig answers questions and sketches ideas by talking to an AI model on our server — never to another person — and every message is checked in both directions. AI generation runs behind a child-appropriate content policy with server-side moderation, and creations are stored on the device rather than in a public feed. Payment always happens through Apple or a payment link emailed to a parent.
Is this made by Mojang or Microsoft?
