Ultimate Addon Forge is built for children and designed so that as little data as possible ever leaves your device. There is no advertising anywhere in the product, and we never sell data to anyone.
What stays on your device
Creations are stored locally (on iPad, in the app; on the web, in your browser). Editing works offline in the app.
What leaves your device, and why
AI drafts: descriptions you type are sent to our server so an AI model can create a first draft, not linked to any identity. Short-lived technical logs keep the feature working and safe.
Helper chat: the pig button opens a helper that answers questions about making and exporting add-ons, and can sketch a first draft of an idea. What you type is sent to our server and on to an AI model to produce the reply. We only use AI providers that are contractually barred from training on what is sent to them, and every message is checked by a safety filter in both directions. The helper is built to talk about nothing but Addon Forge and Minecraft, and it never asks for personal details. Conversations are kept for up to 30 days so we can see what children are asking for and fix what confuses them, then deleted automatically. They are not linked to a name or an email address.
Share codes: shared creations are stored under an unguessable code so a friend can download them, expiring after about 6 months.
Website analytics: the marketing pages of this website (not the app, and not the studio itself) use aggregate visitor analytics so we know which pages people find useful. There is no advertising or third-party ad tracking in the child's experience.
Web accounts: if you register on the web, we store your email address and sign-in sessions, used only to sign you in and keep your creations. iPad backups go to your own private iCloud, which we cannot read.
Purchases
App subscriptions are handled entirely by Apple; we never see payment details. Anonymous random tokens operate fair-use limits and the referral programme.
Children
No ads, no content feeds, no external links inside the child's experience, and no messaging between users. The only conversation available is the helper pig, which talks solely to an AI model on our server — never to another person — and is filtered in both directions. AI generation runs behind a child-appropriate content policy with server-side moderation. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children, and the helper is instructed never to ask for any; if a child types something personal anyway, it is removed with the conversation on the 30-day cycle. A grown-up can email us at any time to have a conversation deleted sooner.
